Services Provided for Small Animals (Dogs and Cats)

Wellness and Focused Examinations
We recommend annual physical exams and screenings because the best medicine is preventative medicine.
Also it is very important to ensure that pet vaccinations, deworming, heartworm prevention and flea and tick control are on schedule to be able to maintain optimal health.

Consultations

Regular exams and checkups are a critical component of your pets’ health care. We advise all pet owners to bring their animals in for routine examinations.

Seeing your pets for regular checkups allows our veterinarians to establish a baseline in your pet’s body chemistry so that we can be aware of any potentially harmful changes.

Vaccinations

Vaccination is a critical element of your pets’ overall health care. There are a number of illnesses that require vaccination, and pets of different regions face unique risks as well.

Diagnostic Laboratory Work

We provide reference lab services. The sooner we figure out what the problem is, the sooner your pets can start to feel better. We are pleased to be able to offer such high quality tests, and our goal is to get your pets back to their normal selves as quickly as possible.

Anesthesia

Procedures done on dogs and cats are challenging for a variety of reasons, one being that they often don’t want to be still while doctors and staff are trying to help the animal. They also have a level of stress that comes from being in an unfamiliar environment. Because of this, the use of anesthesia is a beneficial way to give pets the care they need.

Dental Procedures

Good oral health for your pet can result in a longer and happier life! During our yearly physical examination, we will examine your pet’s mouth for any dental issues. Our dental services include oral and dental exams, cleaning, polishing and extractions. Feel free to call us at any time to set up an appointment.

Surgery (minor and major)

With our advanced anesthetic monitoring capabilities and surgical equipment, we can guarantee safety and comfort for your pet.
pain management is a very important feature of our post-operative protocol. Some of our surgical procedures include spay and neuter, mass removal, cherry eye correction, dental extraction, laceration repair, ear hematoma, declawing, umbilical hernia repair, eyelid mass resection, c-section, cystotomy, cruciate ligament repair and more

Geriatric Work-ups

Preventative medicine is important when our pets are young, but as our pets age, and become prone to certain disease processes, annual exams and blood work become even more important. Annual exams and simple blood work to check liver and kidney values, along with thyroid function have the potential to alert us to early changes that may give us important information about your pet’s health.

Home Hospice Care/At Home Euthanasia

Knowing when the time is right can be a difficult choice. There are many factors that go into deciding to euthanize a pet, and it is a personal issue that differs from pet owner to pet owner. But every pet owner is inevitably faced with making that tough decision, and we want to be there alongside you to aid in any way we can.

Nutrition Counseling

Pet’s nutritional needs change as they enter different stages of their lives. The best way to make sure your pets’ needs are being met is to consult with us about a diet made specifically for his or her lifestyle.

Follow-up Care

We will schedule follow ups to make sure that things are progressing the way that we want. We are here to change treatment if that becomes necessary. We are just a phone call away if you have questions about something when you are home.

Home Hospitalization

The duration of hospitalization can vary depending on the condition of the pet, as well as the nature of their illness. Every patient is given loving attention by our compassionate, knowledgeable staff in the hopes of getting them healthy as soon as possible.

Microchip Identification

It’s a terrible feeling to know that your pet is lost and on their own, but it’s an avoidable one. Microchipping pets is the best way to ensure their safe return in the unfortunate event that they become lost.
